About the role, Your Impact:

Concentric Integration provides full-service automation of water/wastewater systems (including design, implementation, and support). The IT Consultant role requires excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and customer relationship management skills. The IT Consultant works directly with clients and management to design, troubleshoot, and maintain technology solutions for Concentric clients in a fast-paced growth environment. The IT Consultant will provide internal support to staff and oversee IT projects. Municipal-specific expertise is preferred but not required. Full-cycle project-focused IT experience is expected.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Work with other Concentric staff to successfully implement municipal technology applications (SCADA, AMR, GIS, etc.) and standard business software.
  • Directly, regularly interface, consult, and communicate with clients & management.
  • Monitoring security advisories to ensure necessary IT-related security updates, patches, and preventive measures are in place. Monitor and support anti-malware systems.
  • Ensure that all IT equipment, hardware, and software are regularly updated.
  • Administer and maintain system firewalls and related security devices.
  • Work with other Concentric team members to maintain budget, schedule, and client satisfaction.
  • Ensure that all IT equipment, hardware, and software are regularly updated.
  • Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to improve the overall efficiency and security of the department.
  • Proactively research emerging technologies and trends in the IT industry, including cybersecurity, and recommend new solutions to improve the department's operations.
  • Strong attention to detail and deliverable quality (format, content, readability) is expected.
  • Ability to travel locally as required.
  • Assist the Concentric team with system development design, testing, and implementation.
  • Remain "on-call" 24/7 to troubleshoot network/server outages. The staff rotates on-call duties between employees. A 15-minute or less initial (phone) response time to outages when on-call is expected unless prior arrangements have been made (for time off).

Must-haves, what you will bring:

  • 8+ years of experience in an IT consultant role.
  • Experience with Windows Operating Systems 10 and 11, Server 2016/2019/2022
  • Experience with the Active Directory, Group Policy, and server virtualization (Microsoft and/or VMware)
  • Hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting wired and wireless networks, including but not limited to network security, VPN, firewalls, and VLANS. Internet-related communications: DNS and firewall understanding is expected. Manufacturers should include Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet, and Aruba.
  • Document issues and resolutions by utilizing the service desk system.
  • Experience writing clear, concise technical documentation and communicating non-technically.
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills with strong attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Microsoft Certifications or related certification(s)
  • Microsoft Cloud Services skills

Compensation: The pay range for this role is $89,440-$110,240. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.
