About the role, Your Impact

Baxter & Woodman has a rewarding opportunity for an Engineering Technician in our Chicago, Mokena, or Naperville, IL office. This position will support the firm’s Water – Infrastructure department and assist with the planning and design of a variety of Water –Infrastructure projects.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Produce and edit engineering Roadway, Underground Utility, and Infrastructure plans using AutoCAD.
• Edit plan and profile drawings using Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Prepare CAD plan sheet drawings.
• Assist project engineers and managers with a wide variety of tasks required during project delivery.

Other Duties May include:

• Plan Preparation
• Quantity Computation
• Field Data Collection

Education Requirement:

• Associate of Science (AS) degree.

Must-haves, what you will bring:

• 3+ years’ experience in AutoCAD.
• Ability to travel throughout Chicagoland area (own transportation).
• Work in a team environment.
• Strong written, verbal, computer and organizational skills.

Compensation: The pay range for this role is $28 - $34 per hour. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.
